2-Day Merzouga KTM Enduro Tour
Two guided KTM enduro days from Merzouga: first around Erg Chebbi and its desert villages, then deeper southeast towards Taouz, Ouzina and Ramlia on remote piste and old rally-route terrain.
- Merzouga · Erg Chebbi
- Private & guided
- Quote confirmed before booking
What two days give you
Two days gives substantially more riding time than a single session and lets the route reach further into the desert around Erg Chebbi and south of Merzouga.
The programme is deliberately flexible rather than pretending one fixed GPS loop suits every group. Day one is normally used to settle into the bike and local surfaces; day two can push further onto open desert tracks once the guide has seen how the group rides.
2-day Merzouga KTM enduro itinerary
This two-day programme combines the Erg Chebbi area on day one with a much deeper southeast-desert loop through Taouz, Ouzina and Ramlia on day two. Weather, sand conditions and rider level can change the exact track.
Day 1 — Merzouga → Khamlia → Begaa → Saf-Saf → Tisrdamen → Merzouga
Warm up around Erg Chebbi on a mixture of piste, hamada and sand. Ride via Khamlia and Begaa, stop around Saf-Saf and Tisrdamen, then return to Merzouga for the overnight.
Day 2 — Merzouga → Taouz → Jdaid → Ouzina → Ramlia → Oubahlou → Merzouga
Head south-east to Taouz and its rock-engraving area, then continue through Jdaid, Ouzina and Ramlia. This is the more remote rally-piste day, with old Paris-Dakar route sections in the Ouzina/Ramlia corridor before the return towards Merzouga.
Old Paris-Dakar tracks near Merzouga
The Taouz–Ouzina–Ramlia corridor includes old rally pistes associated locally with the Paris-Dakar era. Where conditions allow, the two-day route can use these sections alongside open hamada, compacted piste, dry riverbeds and sand.
Motorcycle Morocco Tours is an independent tour operator and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Dakar Rally or its organisers. We do not claim to reproduce an official historic rally stage; the exact piste used is confirmed with the local guide for the booked route and current conditions.

Rider requirements and practical notes
- A valid full motorcycle licence is required for the KTM enduro programmes operated through our partner network.
- Tell us honestly about your off-road and sand experience so we can confirm the programme is suitable.
- Multi-day desert enduro is not designed as a first-ever off-road experience; basic off-road confidence is strongly recommended.
- Bring personal travel/medical insurance that covers motorcycle riding and emergency repatriation.
- Routes can change with heat, wind, sand, rain, track condition and the riding level of the group.
Where you stay
For Merzouga-based enduro programmes, we normally use a riad or hotel as the riding base. A desert-camp night can be included when it fits the confirmed itinerary.
Riad / hotel: Dar Hassan Merzouga · Riad Merzouga Dunes · or similar
Desert camp when included: Merzouga All-inclusive Glamping · Sirocco Luxury Camp · or similar
The exact property is confirmed in your personalised itinerary and may change with availability.
Two days deeper into the desert
A two-day programme adds the wider piste network south and east of Merzouga, including the Taouz, Ouzina and Ramlia corridor when conditions allow.

Frequently asked questions
Where do we stay?
The overnight arrangement is confirmed with the final itinerary. Depending on the programme, we can use a Merzouga riad/hotel or arranged desert accommodation.
Is a support vehicle used?
For multi-day enduro programmes, assistance and luggage/mechanical support are organised through the partner network; the exact vehicle setup is confirmed before booking.
How much sand is included?
That depends on your experience and current conditions. Tell us whether you want a piste-heavy route or more technical sand.
Can I extend it to three days?
Yes. There is a separate three-day Merzouga programme, or we can discuss a longer itinerary.
Do we ride the old Paris-Dakar route?
The second day can use old rally-piste sections in the Taouz–Ouzina–Ramlia corridor, which is one reason the two-day programme feels different from a dune-focused day ride. The exact section depends on conditions; this is not an official Dakar product.
